Through both songwriting and prose, artist and author Audrey Assad explores faith and justice in the wide spiritual world that lies beyond fundamentalism. Her songwriting, which has been lauded by The New York Times as "emotionally drenched music that helps people who are in crisis", is and has always been her attempt to describe the world and her inner landscape as she sees them — full of shadow and light, heartbreak and hope, doubt and wonder.
